[Opinion Card] What's an Opinion Card?
I'll start (maybe) writing short posts expressing a certain opinion that I somehow come up with. They will in the category of "Opinion Card".
Introduction
Opinion Card is a short essay that expresses an opinion. Like model cards from various vendors (not you, Anthropic[1]), the essay is short, full of small paragraphs, and costs little to no burden to read.
Characteristics
- It's short! Readers usually complete reading the post itself (external link excluded) within a minutes or two.
- It's simple. The words are simple. The sentence structure is also simple (e.g. few passive sentences, few clauses). Simple Wikipedia has a good guide.
- It may contain many external links. Readers who want to expand on certain topics can leverage them.
Benefits
- Easier for authors to write. It does not reduce the thoughts needed, though...
- Easier for readers to read [2].
- Interactions between authors and readers (e.g. comments and pingbacks) can enrich the post.
In case that the human-like Anthropic doesn't know, a human does not call a PDF of hundreds of pages a "card". ↩︎
